Who are you and what do you do here?
My name is Greta and I am Faculty Librarian for Creative and Cultural Industries, which means that I look after the library and information needs of students, staff and researchers within the following areas:
- School of Architecture, Art, and Design
- School of Film, Media and Creative Technologies
I am a student what can you do to help me?
- I enjoy hearing about your research. I can help you to locate appropriate resources to search and help you to search them effectively.
- We’ll meet in pre-arranged workshops and you can also Book a Librarian tutorial with me.
- We can help with research or APA 7th referencing questions.
- You are welcome to recommend books for the library - just email me, greta.friggens@port.ac.uk and CC your lecturer. Remember that you can also use the Interlibrary loan service to quickly obtain most items that we don't have in the library.
- Visit your Subject Page to get started with your research.
I am a member of staff/researcher, what can you do to help me?
- I can help you to search and find the information you need to successfully undertake your research.
- Help you to use the online reading list service and develop your reading lists.
- Purchase/facilitate access to books, articles etc. to support your students’ and your own research.
- Help you to embed research, referencing and information literacy skills into your curriculum. Find out what we can offer.
- Lead workshops on these for your students.
- Advise on any other information or library related matters.
