Scanning

You can scan documents and save them to a USB stick or email them as jpg images or pdf documents using the scanners beside the concrete central stairwell on the ground floor in Area 0A, near the IT Help Desk.

There are also PCs connected to scanners on the upper floors, located in Area 1A.  These require you to log into the computer to use them.  Priority is given for use of the scanners for these PCs, so if you are using them for something else you might be asked to log off so someone else can use the scanner.

There is a large format scanner in the Map Library capable of scanning up to A0.  Please ask the Map Library staff about this service.  A small charge is made to cover the costs of large format scanning.  Please bring a USB stick onto which the scanned image may be saved.

Who is it for?

The ground floor scanners can be used by anyone, including visitors, without logging onto a computer.  Only current staff and students can log onto computers to use the scanners on the upper floors.  A large format scanner is available in the Map Library, in Area 1A on the first floor.
