Covid-19 adjustments to Library services
Library zones
In order to maintain social distancing and operate in a COVID-19 Secure fashion the Library has been divided into a number of zones. In order to use a space in any of the zones it must be booked using the online booking system. You can click on the maps below to see a larger version in a new tab/window.
Ground floor
Use of headphones is preferred, and you may participate in online teaching
- Zone 1 - 20 desks with a PC and 17 desks without a PC
- Zone 2 - 48 desks with a PC and 17 desks without a PC
- Zone 3 - 51 desks with a PC and 12 desks without a PC
Zone 2 contains 2 disability spaces with height-adjustable desks with a PC, and extra space, for those with additional support needs.
Note that to use a disability PC it must be booked specifically.
First floor
Use of headphones is preferred, and you may participate in online teaching
- Zone 4 - 22 desks without a PC
- Zone 5 - 22 desks without a PC
- Zone 6 - 35 desks without a PC
- Zone 7 - 4 desks with a PC and 14 desks without a PC
- Zone 8 - 15 desks without a PC
- Zone 9 - 6 desks with a PC and 28 desks without a PC
Bloomberg PC - 2 Bloomberg terminals are located in zone 6 for those who need to use this specialist database. They must be booked specifically.
Second floor silent zones
Use of headphones required, and you may watch online teaching sessions, but without participation
- Zone 10 - 44 desks without a PC
- Zone 11 - 3 desks with a PC and 39 desk without a PC
- Zone 12 - 43 desks without a PC
Second floor non-silent zones
Use of headphones is preferred, and you may participate in online teaching
- Zone 13 - 12 desks without a PC
- Zone 14 - 7 desks with a PC and 25 desks without a PC
