Renewing Your Loans

In line with the need to maintain social distancing and operate in a COVID-19 Secure fashion renewals cannot be made in person at the reception desk

Automatic renewals

We will automatically renew your loans one week before they are due. We will not renew all your loans – only those that are due in a week’s time, unless:

If any of your loans have been recalled because they have been reserved, they will not be renewed and you will receive a notification from the Library to let you know this.  By default, this is emailed to your University of Portsmouth email account or to the email account you have supplied as an External reader.

You will receive an emailed reminder of any books that we have not been able to renew two days before they are due to be returned.  It's still worth checking My Account though as the issue that originally prevented an automatic renewal may have been resolved.
