Did you know that there is a bookable dedicated breastfeeding pod on the second floor of the Library, just outside the Individual Silent Study Zone, offering new and expecting mothers a safe space to breastfeed their babies or express milk?
While we fully support new mothers who choose to breastfeed their babies in public (and to be fair, since babies require feeding on demand and often unpredictably, they often give little choice in the matter!), we have had nursing mothers in the past asking for private spaces to breastfeed or express milk and so we are pleased to offer the pod on the top floor of the Library and the one in Richmond Building as a safe, private space to support new mothers.
Bookable online, these spacious pods feature seating, plug sockets and other conveniences, and can be locked for privacy and security.
