Student reaching for library book

We know how much you value the consistent reliability of the Library service, which is why we wanted to let you know about a few temporary service changes over the coming couple of months:

Library staff not working Bank Holiday Monday 25 May

While our IT Helpers will be working and Security will be here continuously to keep you safe and secure, Library staff will be away on the Bank Holiday Monday.  You can still chat with a librarian live online 24/7 and all our resources will be available in the building and online throughout - you just won't be able to get hold of one of our librarians that day.  We'll all be back to help from the Tuesday onwards!

Library building closure on Saturday 27 June

The Library building will be closed on Saturday 27 June, while we carry out essential electrical maintenance.  This is during the Summer Vacation period.  Since we do not open on Sundays during the summer, this means after the Library building closes at 8 pm on Friday 26 June, we won't reopen until 8 am on Monday 29 June.  As usual, our online chat service and electronic resources will all be available 24/7 throughout; it is only the building that will close, so you won't be able to borrow or return books or pop in to study that day.

We are sorry for any inconvenience these brief interruptions to our services may cause. Rest assured, our online offering will continue uninterrupted throughout.  And now you know what we're doing over the next few weeks, you can plan your work accordingly.
