Assistive technology

All our workstations across the campus have large 24" screens and both scanners and printers are available in the Library. Please contact us if you need large amounts of scanning done, particularly books, as we have a digitisation service for our disabled users.

We have wheelchair accessible touchscreen kiosks in the Library which provide access to the Library catalogue.

In addition, we have a range of more specialised equipment and software available for those who require additional assistance or with specific disabilities. These resources are available to any visitor to the Library who identifies themselves as having a disability. You do not need to be in receipt of DSA and there are no extra fees. The software is networked on all university PCs and peripherals are available to anyone who makes a request.

The three accessible workstations in the library can be reserved by users who have accessibility needs. Please email the library to make a reservation. Please specify the date/time and duration you would like to book. Please note: Bookings can only be made between 08:00 and 18:00 Mon-Fri and 11:00 and 15:00 Sat-Sun.

If a computer does not have a reservation sign, students are free to use the space. Please note, students who do not have a reservation may be asked to move to another computer if a reservation has been placed.
