Our new Student Hub is now under construction. Nestled in the heart of campus, it will connect the University Library and Students' Union to create a modern space where you will be able to study, find support, get involved in student life, and spend time with friends.
While the construction will bring some unavoidable disruption, including occasional noise and temporary changes to some areas of the Library, we are committed to keeping disruption to a minimum, and will warn you when upcoming work is likely to impact your use of the Library.
We will let you know when noisy or disruptive works will take place, where the quietest places to study can be found at any time, and you can always pick up reusable sound cancelling ear plugs so you can study in peace wherever you feel most comfortable. We will share regular updates, so you know what to expect and can plan ahead.
We are looking forward to welcoming you into the new Student Hub in Spring 2028, which is being developed as part of the University's Estate Masterplan, delivering world class facilities that enhance the student experience.
If you have any questions or concerns about the impact this work might have on the Library or your studies, please chat with us in person or through our online chat service, or email us at [email protected]
