Getting Started

Options for getting started with Library resources.

Books provide an excellent overview of a topic and are a great resource when starting an assignment.  Refer to any Reading Lists you may have been directed to or use the Library Catalogue to search for topics.

If we don't have a book you're interested in, we may be able to obtain it via Interlibrary Loan.

For a look at an ebook package (in this case Ebook Central) in a bit more detail, see this short video.

Civil engineering projects depend on estimates so that project managers can keep costs within reasonable limits. Price books, such as those listed, provide costs for any projects you are including in your assignments. For an assignment, you may not need the latest edition but check with your tutors what is acceptable. You can find all of the following in the Library Catalogue (which you can also check for later editions), but they're also listed here for your convenience. Note that some are print and some are electronic; we've tried to source the latter where at all possible.
