You can find toilets on every floor of the Library, spread across five toilet blocks located in:

  • The foyer - just inside the main entrance, head down the short corridor to your left immediately before the glass partition
  • The ground floor teaching room corridor - at the rear of the building, past the lift and to your right
  • Areas 1B and 2B - at the rear of the building on both the upper floors
  • Area 1C - up the wooden stairs from the Atrium, across the walkway to your right, and then on your left

These toilets are cleaned in rotation, so some are always available.

Accessible toilets for wheelchair users

A RADAR key is available from the Reception Desk on request for the gender neutral, wheelchair accessible toilet cubicles on the ground floor.  All the toilets on the upper floors of the Library are gender-neutral and accessible, and include at least one wheelchair accessible toilet cubicle.

Where are the library toilets?

The question we are asked more than any other is 'where are the toilets?' Toilets can be found throughout the building. One set are just inside the main entrance on the left hand side. The other ground floor toilets are at the far side of the building, in areas 1A and 1B on the first floor and 2B on the top floor of the Library.

All our toilets are regularly cleaned one block at a time so toilets are always available. If you ever need directions please don't be embarrassed to ask.
