Gregson, Connor (2019) Creating two simulated assets for a composited environment. (unpublished BSc dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth
Abstract
This dissertation looks to produce two 3D simulations that will be composited with video footage to give the effect of user interactions. The first will be a 3D model of a beach hut that will be destroyed by the actions of a person, whilst the second will be a simulated beach that will be composited onto an object held by said person. The aim of this dissertation is to create these artefacts using professional techniques practiced in the Visual Effects Industry. This will be used to demonstrate the skills learned into a displayable asset for a portfolio. The plan is to achieve the project using previously learned methods in addition to researching new updated and more efficient methods.
