Abstract

This report aims to introduce children to the Harry Potter franchise through the use of a 4-minute 2D animation. Through the use of primary and secondary research, the main demographic was decided to be children aged between 5 and 7 years old and the length of the animation was decided to be approximately 4-minutes. The animation was produced using a mixture of the Adobe Creative Cloud software, with the soundtrack being produced using GarageBand. The final artefact was reviewed by the initial respondents to positive results from a broad range of age groups. This supports the findings from the research, including length, target demographic and style of animation.
