Bell, Gemma (2019) Animation production techniques: animating illustrations for a younger audience. (unpublished BSc dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth
Abstract
The purpose and scope of this project was to produce an introduction animation using illustrations of characters from the book, ‘Super Coach Arty vs. The Shadow - Taking the Fear out of Failure’ for the client - Lorraine Thomas (the author). The report looks at the development and changes to children's animations within television and broadcasting and the reasons behind these changes. Furthermore, it looks at what makes an animation, aimed at a younger audience, successful. It also considers the carrying out of research and design methods for the production and creation of animations, including the feedback they received, whilst also reflecting critically on the production of the animation as a whole.
