Abstract

Tonic is a music based mental health charity located in Portsmouth. This project describes the making of a short documentary made up of interviews, concert footage and general day to day running of the company to spread awareness of mental health and how the charity could help support somebody struggling with it.
The video that has been created for Tonic in the style of a Documentary and is 10 minutes 40 seconds long. It looks into who the charity is and what their mission is. The topic was researched through both secondary and primary research. The secondary through the use of a literature review and the primary was conducted through the use of a survey.
This project found that most people are not aware of the impact of music. The video produced demonstrated the need for music and how Tonic uses it to help the community.
