Campbell, Robin (2019) Can digital games improve the working memory of children aged 7-11?. (unpublished BSc dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth
Abstract
This paper explores the use of digital games for improving working memory in KS2 classrooms. It explores the effectiveness of digital compared to traditional games and investigates the reasons for this. This paper also examines how previous methods for improving working memory can be digitalised for use in school and home environments and if they are more effective than their traditional alternatives. Information gathered shall be used to demonstrate a paper prototype of a game designed to improve working memory whilst remaining as engaging as other commercial products.
