Kitchener, Trudi Patricia (2019) Skills and format: how to get yourself noticed in the Digital Media Industry. (unpublished BSc dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth

Abstract

The aim of this project is to research and understand what the Digital Media industry wants from graduates, including skill sets, qualifications, experience and personal qualities, also advice on CV and portfolio design.
A guide booklet was designed and printed to show the findings from primary and secondary research, which showed print is still preferred over digital, along with insights into the sections listed above. Quotes from people working in the industry were also featured to get a first-hand insight into what employers expect from graduates.
User testing showed this project to be a success, with all aims being met at the end of the project. Project management utilisation made sure the project was completed to the highest standard.
