Tuan, Izabela Phung (2021) Impact of social media and communication design on Polish women’s strike. (unpublished BSc dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth

Abstract

This project aims to discuss what is the impact of social media and communication design on the Polish women’s strike. Instagram account, @activismbydesign, was created as an artefact to support this project by publishing relevant, research-based posts online.

The research seeks to answer what social media and communication design impact has over the protests in Poland and how it can be useful and effective to the people that are not actively protesting with Polish women but want to help with sharing their message.

In the end, we will recognize how the church, politics and media shaped the law, how people view this sensitive, taboo topic and what are some of the issues Polish women are struggling with.
