Cotton, Charity Lily Jean (2021) Can a ‘digital only’ marketing strategy create a profitable brand for a start-up business?: a case study for ‘Kutiecool’. (unpublished BA dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth

Abstract

This project sets out to establish whether a start-up online business could become a profitable brand using a low-budget, digital-only marketing strategy. Through the use of synthesized case studies and application of digital marketing theory, we are able to conclude that a start-up brand can be successful providing a clear set of key performance indicators are defined prior to financial investment.
By implementing a digital marketing strategy accompanied by the execution of a website prototype for the real-life start-up “Kutiecool”, this project evaluates the credibility of this research and assesses the efficacy of this digital-only approach.
