Abstract

This dissertation will argue that contemporary broadsheet newspapers are a medium that facilitates neo-colonialism. To illustrate this, discourse analysis will be conducted on articles published in broadsheet newspapers to discover and explain the neo-colonial discourse produced and reproduced. This is important because it continues to facilitate neo-colonial behaviour, language and policy shaping the lives of thousands of people.
