Abstract
The aim of this project is to work towards a brief with the goal of producing a digital media beach clean campaign. All the steps of creating a successful digital media campaign are to be explored. Secondary research into existing campaigns with a similar aim helped establish the elements that were required to make a successful campaign, websites and social media platforms were explored. Primary research, such as a survey and a timed beach clean helped develop ideas further by gaining data around the topic area. This data heavily influenced the pre-production stage of the project. Adobe after effects, illustrator and photoshop were key in producing content. The limited access to professional standard equipment, due to the corona virus pandemic impacted this project, an example of this can be seen in the campaign’s photography, as an iPhone 8 had to be used to gather photos. This limited the overall professional quality of the campaign. However, the final content produced falls in line with what is expected of a digital media campaign. The content produced represents a coherent campaign, that has depth and meets its aim of targeting a young adult audience. The content produced for the campaign is creative and engaging. It effectively raises awareness around the issue of litter being left on UK beaches and the damage this can have on the environment.
