Abstract
Research into Graphic Design and branding, to identify what effects specific design choices can have on customers. By looking into what brands are in need of rebranding, there were a number of complaints for the current Pepsi brand that were identified. The main complaint is that it resembles a potbelly which is widely considered unappealing. Being a big competitor in the market, with its incredibly recognisable brand, this surely has an impact on what associations the customers will make with it. Using the agile methodology for the project’s management will allow for refinement through a series of 3 scrums, to reach a desired result. They include visual research, experimenting with ideas, development of the final product, having customers test out the product and collecting their feedback, all to reach a desired result. As an attempt to rebrand the brand is sought, research will be done for the brand’s identity, strengths & weaknesses included, as well as emotional design. By the end of the process, the result should be a Pepsi brand that appeals to more customers. To clarify, this is NOT an official collaboration. The brand chosen for this project is simply a vehicle for research purposes, as consulted with the supervisor for this project.
