Abstract
Environments are a vital part to storytelling within any medium and there are many ways of producing a digital environment. Unreal Engine is one piece of software that is available to create these environments with support from other software, it allows us to further push the story and help enforce the atmosphere of the story. Although typically Unreal Engine is used to produce Games it has also become popular within the world of Film and TV for many reasons. For what reason has Unreal Engine become popular when creating Film and TV? The exploration of this software and its abilities to portray environments suited to the Film or TV shows story will deepen the understanding and appreciation for the software and its tools and techniques for creating these visually pleasing and believable environments. Using research into entertainment that has already utilised this software will help to gain an understanding of the appeal to use the software and if it is a sustainable program to carry on using within the inudstry. Will this software become an industry standard within Film and TV?
