Abstract

This dissertation has been written over the course of the academic year. It documents the development of comic book characters, art techniques and work methodologies that were used to create a series of mascots, as requested by Lee Hosbon, the owner of ‘The XS Group’. The Client will be using the finalised designs and illustrations as promotional material for their business ‘ComicBookXS’. This document also outlines research into existing characters that consider equality and diversity, artistic anatomical techniques and how all of the above dictated the approaches taken for the creation of the final product.
