Abstract

This research project sees the translation from Spanish to British English of the children’s recipe book ‘Pequeño Gran Chef’ by Spanish home economist and food stylist Marian Montoro (about, 2014) and published by Juventud Editorial in 2015. This commentary is comprised of the difficulties that arose during the translation and the decisions made are based on instinctive knowledge as a native British speaker, who has spent a year in Spain, and is backed by research and theories.
