Abstract
This study aims to know the gender equality in the construction industry of Pakistan. Thus it has shown how gender equality in the construction industry in Pakistan has influenced worker satisfaction and productivity. It has also evaluated the financial rewards, social benefits, and technological benefits’ of gender equality in the construction sector; and to conclude it. This is a quantitative study and positivism philosophy has been used in this work. The population is employees of the construction industry of Pakistan and a sample of 145 employees has been included in this study. The random sampling method has been used. An Online Google link to a structured questionnaire has been created and shared with employees to collect data from them. In addition, the simple and multiple regressions approach has been applied to examine the proposed questions of the study. Results show that gender equality has a positive significant effect on productivity and satisfaction of employees. The coefficient for productivity is .091 at 5% and for satisfaction of employees; it is .027 at 5%. However social benefits, financial benefits, and technological benefits have a positive significant effect on gender equality in the construction industry of Pakistan. Social benefits have a .143 positive effect on GEA at 5%, financial benefits have a .549 positive effect on GEA at 1%, and technology benefits have .017 positive effects on GEA at 10%. In conclusion, this quantitative research in the Pakistani construction industry shows how promoting gender equality can boost morale and output. The relevance of equitable workplace practices for the holistic development of a sector is shown by the findings, which show that social, financial, and technological benefits contribute considerably to developing gender equality.
