Fitzmartin, Francesca (2023) An investigation into the effectiveness of strategies that target mental health support for secondary school students in the UK. (unpublished BA dissertation), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth

Abstract

This dissertation aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of strategies targeting mental health support in secondary schools in the United Kingdom. The study recognises the limitations of existing strategies within the education system and explores the consequences of these shortcomings on students' mental health. Additionally, it delves into the challenges faced by overwhelmed mental health services. By offering a fresh perspective, this research aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse on mental health support in secondary schools and advocate for improved strategies to address the needs of students struggling with their mental well-being.
