Library Café

The Library coffee shop provides a welcome change to formal study and offers a variety of hot and cold snacks and drinks to keep up your attention levels. This fast and efficient service offers a diverse menu, quality products, and prices to suit all pockets.  The menu has a lot to offer from curries to sandwiches, and salads to paninis and hot pastries that can tide you over until the next study break. Relax in a well lit, comfortable seating area and watch the world go by through a wall of glass or take your snacks outside and dine al fresco.

Opening hours

The Coffee Shop is run by Catering Services and so the opening may be very different from those of the Library.   

Microwaves

You are welcome to heat your own food using the microwaves provided.  Please consume any hot or potentially messy foods in the café area and use the spray cleaner and cloths provided to keep everything clean and hygienic.

Vending machines

You can always buy snacks and hot/cold drinks from the Library vending machines.  You can find these by heading past the café heading towards the front windows and then following the bookshelves of Outside In World children's books in translation around to your right.  The vending machines are set back in an alcove just past the bookshelves. They are available 24/7 whenever the Library building is open.  

Water bottle refill stations

You can refill your water bottle for free at the water bottle refill station beside the soft seating near the Library Café and the toilets on the ground floor and in Area 2B on the second floor, so you need never go thirsty.  You can also ask for hot water from the café when it is open.  A nominal charge will be payable if you need a paper cup.
