Is there such a thing as 'normal' hearing? What did smartphones replace? Why are cassettes so popular? Can sounds be objects?

Marking the end of the Sounds Beyond Music exhibition of portable sound objects from the Museum of Portable Sound, the Museum's curator, Dr John Kannenberg, is giving a free public talk discussing the themes raised by the exhibition, from diversity in the perception of sounds to the development of communication technologies.
