Greta Friggens

Faculty Librarian for Creative and Cultural Industries

Who are you and what do you do here?

My name is Greta and I am Faculty Librarian for Creative and Cultural Industries, which means that I look after the library and information needs of students, staff and researchers within the following areas:

I am based in the University Library, but I recommend that you contact me in advance to arrange an appointment if you would like to see me.

Telephone (023) 9284 3456

If your enquiry is urgent and I am not available, other library staff can often help. You could ask for Lizzie Wildgoose who is the Assistant Faculty Librarian or ask for assistance at one of the enquiry desks. You can find other ways of contacting the library from the Contact Us section of the website.

I am a student what can you do to help me?

I can help you search for and find the information that you need to successfully undertake your assignments by:

Can I recommend books and other library resources?

Yes. Send me an email, copying it to your tutor, with the details of any items you would like to recommend to the library. However, remember that you can use the Interlibrary loan service, to quickly obtain most items that we don't have in the library.

I am a member of staff what can you do to help me?

Through discussion and attendance at Faculty meetings I hope to gain an awareness of your teaching, learning and research requirements. For your students I can:

I would be interested in hearing about your own learning and research requirements and can:

I am a researcher what can you do to help me?

I am keen to hear about your research and in return I can:

Whatever your capacity within the university, I am very happy to meet with you to discuss your information needs. If you are a member of staff and want to find out what information you can access from your own PC, I would be very happy to come and find your office or, of course, you would be most welcome to come over to the library and meet me here.

Why not book an appointment now! I look forward to meeting you soon.
